Dear colleagues, stakeholders and friends, It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the official website of the Russian Medical Tourism Association. Medical tourism has become a solid reality of our life, encompassing almost all types of diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation offered by modern healthcare. The number of patients who choose to receive high-quality medical care outside their home region is growing every year. For this reason, the development of medical tourism is becoming an important task and tool for improving the nation’s health. Medical tourism in Russia has a great potential and is poised for rapid development. This is warranted by the internationally recognized traditions of the national medical school and high qualifications of our specialists. Many of our healthcare facilities possess sufficient resources to hold the leading positions in the world. The Association sees its primary task in consolidating efforts of the leading players in the medical tourism market: physicians, clinics, tour operators, travel agencies, educational institutions, insurers, assistance companies, accommodation facilities, law firms, transport companies and the media. The Association is just starting out. A lot of hard and meaningful work is ahead of us, but I have no doubt that together we will achieve great results. I believe that our joint efforts would help bring our national medicine onto the world stage.
